At Urban Nest we believe in making room for what’s next in our lives. The clutter in our homes creates a map of where energy is stuck. We don’t owe our past a permanent place in our lives; we are allowed to change our minds, to outgrow things and to move on. With our experience and expertise we will create a path for you to lighten the energy in your home and your life thru downsizing and then organizing what truly matters to you.

Our Interior organizing process

After scheduling an in person consultation with Urban Nest, we will be ready to evaluate your project with you. The first step to an organizing project is getting honest about where you are in your life right now, where you are headed, and what pieces you are keeping that no longer support that path. Once this is discussed we will create a cohesive plan for which areas of your house to focus on first.

Following your consultation we will create a timeline for the work to be completed, and we will schedule you on our calendar and email you a contract to sign. We require the signed contract before we begin transforming your space. We will create a project schedule that works best for your convenience.

Organizing Day! We will arrive at an agreed upon time and will provide all required tools for the project. It is preferable that you be involved in the organizing process, however other plans can be made to guide our process. A typical day includes a short lunch break and finishing around 4pm. Each day we are mindful of leaving your space in a manner that you can navigate until completed. At Urban Nest Redesign we pride ourselves on leaving your space in top shape after our work is done. Payment in full is due upon completion of your project. We accept checks made to Urban Nest Redesign.

“Ali has helped us with two major projects in our home and did a fantastic job in both areas. First, she helped us clear out hundreds of boxes and bins of things I have stored away for years, including: craft supplies, clothing that I no longer wear, and items from my parents and grandparents that I will never use. She brought me one box at a time and I sorted the items into donate, throw away or keep. She then helped me take the items to a donation center, throw away or find accessible places to put the keepers. She actually made this project fun and kept me motivated.

The other project was to organize our home into a more pleasing setting. She helped us figure out what furniture items we no longer needed, declutter smaller items, and rearrange rooms to make them more inviting and cozy. She showed us how to rethink our wall art, decide what to keep and where to hang each piece, and she did the actual hanging of the art. In addition, she led us in decluttering and organizing our garage that was absolutely overflowing, and now it looks like a new garage! Ali is a hard worker. She is always on time and got an amazing amount of work done every time she was at our house. She is very optimistic, friendly and fun! We highly recommend Ali for interior styling and organizing.

 Common Questions

  • We will repair small cracks and holes before we begin painting. If your space has bigger repairs needed we will discuss them with you at our first consultation and let you know if we are able to complete them or if we recommend the work to be completed by someone else.

  • The average cost to paint a bedroom is $400. Variables that affect the cost besides the size of the room include ceiling height, wall textures, and extensive repairs, and extreme color changes for instance, Smurf blue to white.

  • If you are making a bold choice in color and are not on site while we are working, we will text you a picture of the color as we start to paint. If you don’t like it we will help you rechoose and adjust your bid accordingly.
